An Open Day is a time for members to come and shop for materials at our QBG shop; to chat with other members; to browse our Library and tools which can be borrowed; or to attend a special demonstration or talk (if scheduled). Open Days are open to the general public to see what we do, but you have to be a member to buy from the shop. Mostly on a Sunday, some Saturdays.

The title may seem obscure but the Adapted K118 binding was demonstrated by Glenn Malkin at the Bind23 Conference and it dispenses with the need for the traditional sewing onto cords but focuses instead on the alternating tab method of board attachment, in this
case using cloth rather than traditional vellum to produce a book with a rounded spine, which opens well and does not require specialist equipment for backing.
