Events - Month View
The event calendar shows upcoming club events. Select a view then use the navigation buttons to move
between dates. Click on the event to view more information, including the event description, times,
location, fees and any rules regarding attendance; you can also register for events from this screen.
Click on the magnifying glass on the toolbar to see search and filter options.
The title may seem obscure but the Adapted K118 binding was demonstrated by Glenn Malkin at the Bind23 Conference and it dispenses with the need for the traditional sewing onto cords but focuses instead on the alternating tab method of board attachment, in this
case using cloth rather than traditional vellum to produce a book with a rounded spine, which opens well and does not require specialist equipment for backing.

We hold General Meetings every two months, except June. This will be the Annual General Meeting featuring a presentation of a Strategic Plan for the Guild‘s future direction.
After supper (provided) we have Show and Tell where anyone can bring recent work, or something of interest to bookbinders and book lovers.
From 6.15 our shop is open for purchases. It closes once the meeting begins.
The Artist Books Group of QBG meets monthly on the second Friday. It is for those members who enjoy creating different and creative styles of books or a deeper dive into what constitutes a "book". Visitors are welcome but to continue to attend you need to be a QBG member. Attendance is free but there may be a small charge for materials.
