As a group of bookbinding enthusiasts, the Queensland Bookbinders’ Guild does not of itself provide commercial bookbinding services. However, we are dedicated to the craft of bookbinding and wish to see it flourish in Queensland.

We have prepared this list of individuals and businesses who provide bookbinding or book repair and restoration services in Queensland. If you are seeking a bookbinder, please feel free to contact any of them to discuss your requirements.  The table at the end indicates the type of work they do.

Abel bookbinding is based in Everton Hills in Brisbane. They have been in business for 25 years; all their work is customised by hand and is done by the owner, who has 30 years’ experience in modern and traditional methods of bookbinding.

Fred and Gundy Pohlmann are Master Bookbinders, trained in Germany, who have extensive experience in repair, restoration and one-off designer bindings. The Pohlmann Bindery has an international reputation and does work for state libraries, universities, law courts and private collectors in Australia and overseas.
