Roll-Up Box - July Meeting

Jason Cooper | Published on 7/11/2026

July's TBG meeting is upon us again. This month anyone who wants to come along can have a go at making a roll-up box as seen in the winter morocco bound magazine (in the guilds document library, under members menu above).

If you want to have a go you will need:

1.8mm Box Board (good thing the guild just bought a heap of it today!)
Bookcloth. Enough for the wrap (at least 600mm x 135mm, short grain)
Bookcloth and paper for the boxes. No height given but you can read the article and see each boxes requirements.
Decorative paper for the box inside.
Enclosure. I suggest the button and ribon style enclosure. The magnets may be too fussy for one night.

I am on night shift that night so I won't be there early like I normally am. A reminder too that the shop will NOT be open on the night however tomorrow (sunday) is the open day and the shop is open for purchases from 9 to 12.

Don't forget to bring along your usual bookbinding tools. Guild will supply glue.

We look forward to seeing everyone there. I am really looking forward to getting some box making done!
