April TBG meeting

Thursday this week saw the April TBG meeting. We had another great turnout with everyone having a go at finishing their boxes in the Hollander style. The Hollander book will be purchased by the guild as a reference for everyone in case you would like to see their method. And of course I have uploaded the spreadsheet that I have done for preparing via their method with a book of your own dimensions.
I will do a post on the facebook group with details of the last few steps we didn't get to finish at the meeting so keep an eye out for that. If you don't have access to the facebook group and would like an invite, please let me (Jason) know and I will get you an invite.
Meanwhile we also discussed that the TBG will have use of the BVAC display cabinet for October. This is a great opportunity to prepare a book to a theme for us all to display. This is open to any member of the guild so please if you would like to get involved you are more than welcome!
We have yet to work out the theme so I will open up the facebook post with a poll on what the theme could be. You will have the option to add your own suggestion and I would invite anyone to please add any suggestions. I don't want this to be all my ideas but rather something that the group can decide on.
As an idea on what I mean by a theme have a look at the latest version of Raised Bands from Canberra guild. They discuss their 2026 theme in there as "Rivers". Some ideas are also given on how that might be applied to a book.
With that in mind please have a think about themes we could pursue.
